Hercules and platonic eroticism, Romeo and Juliet and the types of lies allowed and forbidden.

Hercules and platonic eroticism, Romeo and Juliet and the types of lies allowed and forbidden.

Hercules love for the other women can be best describe as platonic eroticism. He was attracted and fully in love as much as sexually attracted but remained faithful and did not once think of cheating on his wife.
Platonic eroticism is an extension of platonic love that includes the parts of love normally attributed to lust and eros, yet it remains platonic and faithful.

A topic that has arisen a few times should be reiterated at the time:

there three types of lies.
1. A white lie is a positive lie that produces only good results
A good example is a lie used to send someone away who was looking for someome else in an angry fashion, thus avoiding the fight that would ensue if one had told the truth concerning someones where abouts.

2. a grey lie is a lie that is positive in all accounts but see,s like good based on who or how the lie must be said. A good example is seeing a neighbours teenager come into the house late one night after seeing them dropped off by a long time boyfriend or girlfriend. One knows the parents do not approve yet one knows the couple is cool. When the parents ask about you whether you saw the teenager enter or leave the house last night you answer no and save the couple from unnecessary conflict. This is like being the cleric who helps romeo and Juliet get to gather after their parent tried thawrting their love. The cleric helped Juliet fake her death and did the same for Romeo but left the take in legend as that of both killing themselves and thus neither would be sought after by the parents who would have killed the other families child to avoid having them be together. This is how myths and legends come to be, they hint at the truth but hide the final result so no one except those protecting such people, the couple and those smart enough to unravel the tale figure it out. Both had to be considered dead to avoid any trouble and the secret teaching is found in how Juliet was to pretend to die and the grey fib about Romeo taking his life and then Juliet waking to a dead romeo and doing the same. See the cleric failed and they are both dead, same tale happens in places where for instance a muslim and hindu might need to hide from those who are xenophobic and far from enlightened. Said people prefer to persecute rather than allow the love of such people to flower.

3. Black lies are the kind that cause trouble and most often are said to cause trouble, these are forbidden and unlike grey and white lies not allowed. For instance, setting someone up by placing something on their body then reporting it as stolen to get them in trouble is strictly forbidden and damnable by divine rules.
When holy texts say do not lie they are revering to these types of lies while blessing the two other types of lies as allowable.

till next week
Peace
