cadmus teeth of dragons

By the instructions of Athena, he sowed the dragon's teeth in the ground, from which there sprang a race of fierce armed men, called the SpartoĆ ("sown"). By throwing a stone among them, Cadmus caused them to fall upon one another until only five survived, who assisted him to build the Cadmeia or citadel of Thebes, and became the founders of the noblest families of that city.
athena or divine wisdom told cadmus to sow the dragons teeth into teh ground. from teh teeth grew spartoi. these people are teh sown or those who grew from teh dragon's authority, these are the families that were represented by teh dragon and each represented one of eth strengths of teh old system he like jason threw a stone between then, an arguemnt, a stone to grind, this caused them to fight each other till only five peaceful families rem, ained, all teh other servivers either lost thier teeth, meaning metaphorically thier power and authority, or married into one of teh five groups left. They help found thebes and institutionalised their final unity and alligence through the Cadmeia or citadel of Thebes which was a symbol of that conquerance. Each familly become one of the founding nobla families of thebes and the age it represemted, many ascended to be gotherters, esp of the first ones that serviived their epoch changing sycession war.
