Cadmus' fate :faith not riches and war

The cow was given to Cadmus by Pelagon, King of Phocis, and it guided him to Boeotia, where he founded the city of Thebes. Robert Graves (The Greek Myths) suggested that the cow was actually turned loose within a moderately confined space, and that where she lay down, a temple to the moon-goddess (Selene) was erected: "A cow's strategic and commercial sensibilities are not well developed," Graves remarked.
the cow represents the right of teh cow, the moon celene which is depicted in egyptian myth as a cow with a new moon or full moon in its horns
the cow is sacred and is not a merchant or worrior. it is teh herd mentalityn . thus teh cow represents teh priests. so where teh pressa lay down they create a temple. so cadmus was not to quest but follow the way of teh moon and lay down building a temple where the releyethic decided to lay. Not strategy nor sales but faith was his way.
the golden calf also comes to mind in refrence tyo the sacred cow, that also echoes crete.
