New era marked by Perseus as tasks begin

New era marked by Perseus as tasks begin

Acrisius locks Danaë and Perseus in a caste or arc and castes them into the ocean
this arc or chest represents the flood that occurred to mark the transition from the previous epoch to the new epoch of Perseus and the Mycenaean he founded that represent the era of Greece that begins with pursues. the chest washes up home of Dictys a kindly old fisherman. He ruled the area equally with his brother Polydectes cruelly rules over the area. Polydectes soon decided that he wants to kill Perseus and marry his mother. Polydectes represents the ruler, who like the king Hercules had submitted to for his tasks. Polydectes decides to send Perseus to kill Medusa who is fearsome and thought of by many impossible to kill. Thus sending him to kill her is a suicide mission that Polydectes hopes will cause Perseus' death. So from this one derives the idea that Persues was destined to over through the previous regime of his time and beginning a new era in Greece. He was destined to kill Acrisius as Zeus did Cronus, which is metaphor for destroying the ills of the old system as the new system amalgamates many peoples into a greater more peaceful unity. Polydectes represents another cruel leader who has subjugated his people , like his brother, who is kind and a fisherman. This indicates that a lot of fishing constituted their livelihood. Zeus needed someone to unify the peoples of this epoch of Greece into one people or the Mycenaean, Perseus is long after Hercules who created the first unified Greek peoples who unified many desperately different peoples into one peoples, see earlier parts of blog for analysis of Hercules. the Unification of some of said people like those represented by the serpents of Medusa, priestess and so on, like the ape giants who allied with Rama but were met through Nuru, her Perseus begins to unify peoples through the association peoples had to the cruel tyranny of Polydectes.
